Description of a program #

A program is a project that has been identified as a program.

Once the program is created, projects can be attached to it.

The entire program can then be managed in a portfolio of projects dedicated to the program.

This will allow you, for example, to have an overview of the planning, budget, risks or weather of the entire program.

Creating a program #

To create a program, go to the “Project” menu and click on “New project”.

Choose a “Gantt” type project.

Enter the name of the project and save the project.

The “Advanced” tab then appears, it becomes possible to select “Program”.

So you have successfully created a program.

Associating projects with a program #

You can now attach projects to a program.

You can attach all types of projects to a program (Gantt, Kanban and Scrum).

To attach a project, you need to edit the definition of the project to be attached and go to the advanced tab. You can then select in the “Program link” field the name of the program that you have previously created.

Creation of the program portfolio #

You can now create the program portfolio.

Go to the portfolio menu and add a new portfolio.

Fill in a name and in the “Projects” tab you choose “Dynamic portfolio” then in the list of filters, you can choose “Program” and select the name of the program which will allow you to delimit the contents of the portfolio.

In the right part, you will then find the program as well as all the projects which are attached to it.

You have successfully created a portfolio that will allow you to monitor your program.
